2017 Golden Years
Ingredients: 2017 Abandoned Tea
Specifications: 160g/box (10g×16 slices)
Series Introduction:
After China's reform and opening-up, the state-owned Zhenghe Tea Factory faced restructuring. Coupled with the exodus of young adults from mountainous areas to coastal regions for work, labor loss led to the abandonment of once-vast tea mountains, causing a sharp decline in tea production. After years of soil analysis, variety evaluation, trial production research, substance analysis of different tea parts, and studies on their medicinal values, the Tianxia Dabai product series was finally established to showcase the essence of Chinese tea.
Tea Characteristics:
New Member of Tianxia Dabai: Golden Years
These time-locked tea tablets of Golden Years are perfect for sharing anywhere—at home, office, or on the go. Brew them strong or light: savor the lingering notes alone, or toast to youthful days with friends.
Brewing Method:
Tea Amount: 5-8g for a 150ml Gaiwan (covered bowl)
Recommended Utensils:
Yixing Clay Teapot: Absorbs impurities, retains heat well, ideal for showcasing the rich texture of abandoned tea.
Gaiwan: Facilitates soup color observation and pouring control, perfect for beginners.
1. Warm Utensils
Rinse Yixing teapot/Gaiwan and all accessories with boiling water to preheat them, preventing tea leaves from shrinking due to temperature shock and ensuring optimal flavor release.
2. Tea Loading & Awakening
Load Tea: Place leaves into the warmed utensil, gently shake to activate dry tea aroma (note wild mountain and aged notes).
Awaken Tea (Rinse): Pour water above 95℃, quickly rinse 1-2 times (within 5s). Discard the rinse water or use it to warm cups, awakening tea activity and removing surface impurities.
3. Formal Brewing
1st-3rd Infusion:
Pour along the wall slowly to avoid disturbing leaves (reduces astringency), cover immediately, infuse 5-10s.
Taste: Sweet, bright aroma with refreshing notes.
4th-6th Infusion:
Same pouring method, infuse 10-15s. Inner substances release gradually, offering rich texture and prominent wild mountain charm.
7th Infusion & Beyond:
Use boiling water, extend infusion to 20-30s (adjust by soup concentration). High-quality abandoned tea can be brewed 10+ times, with sweet aftertaste even in late infusions.
