Ingredients: 2019 Special Grade White Peony Tea
Specifications: 90g/per bundle (45g x 2 boxes)
Series Introduction: Zhengjue·Floral White Peony belongs to the White Peony series. White Peony tea consists of two leaves with a leaf bud in the middle; the leaves are plump and tender, bulging in a wavy shape, with edges drooping slightly and curling. The back of the leaves is covered with white downy hairs. When brewed, the emerald green leaves set off the tender leaf buds, forming an elegant shape like a peony bud just blooming, exuding a quiet and refined charm. This series of tea boasts high quality, presenting a pale yellow color, a mild taste, and a floral aroma.
Tea Characteristics: Zhengjue·Floral White Peony features two leaves with a leaf bud in the middle. The leaves are plump and tender, wavy in bulge, with edges drooping slightly and curling, and their backs covered in white down. The tea liquor is clear and apricot-yellow, with a mellow and fresh taste, and the floral fragrance is subtly infused in the water. The new White Peony tea has a medicinal aroma similar to that of boiled bamboo leaves, which is particularly prominent in aged white tea, adding a unique charm to White Peony.
Brewing Method: The brewing method of White Peony tea is similar to that of Silver Needle (Baihao Yinzhen), but due to White Peony's stable characteristics, it is less demanding in terms of steeping time and tea-to-water ratio. Preparation includes rinsing the tea utensils with hot water, with a porcelain gaiwan being the best choice. Use mineral water or mountain spring water, and the brewing temperature is preferably 95°C, not exceeding 100°C at most. 5g of White Peony with 150ml of water results in a mild taste without being too strong. For the first infusion, pour boiling water along the wall of the gaiwan in a circular manner. It is particularly important to fill the gaiwan to the brim, stop adding water, cover it, and pour out the liquor quickly; otherwise, excessive release of tea polyphenols and caffeine will occur, failing to bring out the sweet taste of White Peony. After pouring out the liquor quickly, take a deep breath to smell the lingering fragrance of the tea on the porcelain lid, and you can detect the purest floral aroma of White Peony. The tea liquor is sweet, smooth, and thick, with the floral fragrance hidden in the water.
